HEPA is a type of pleated mechanical air filter. It is an acronym for "high-efficiency particulate air [filter]" (as officially defined by the U.S. Dept. of Energy). An air purifier is essentially a motor with a fan that draws polluted air in a room into the unit and forces that air through different layers of filter. The purified air is then returned to the room repeating this cycle over and over to effectively improve the air quality.
We, at Medify, use a three-layer system to catch and remove allergens, pet dander, and more; and are tested to remove 99.9% (Our H13 HEPA filter removes 99.9% and our HEPA H14 filter removes 99.99%) of particles down to 0.1 microns. We make sure our filters have an airtight seal to reduce leakage of dirty air bypassing the filter. Our filters include H14 and H13 options, ensuring high performance and air quality.
