What is a HEPA filter?

HEPA is a type of pleated mechanical air filter. It is an acronym for "high-efficiency particulate air [filter]" (as officially defined by the U.S. Dept. of Energy). How does it work?

An air purifier is essentially a motor with a fan that draws polluted air in a room into the unit and forces that air through different layers of filter. The purified air is then returned to the room repeating this cycle over and over to effectively improve the air quality.

Why are Medify Air filters special?

We, at Medify, use a three-layer system to catch and remove allergens, pet dander, and more; and are tested to remove 99.9% of particles down to 0.1 microns. We make sure our filters have an airtight seal, to reduce leakage of dirty air bypass the filter, and ALL of our filters are HEPA H13.
